Arts and community in rural Northern California
This is a land of cattle and republicans, where many things are not the norm, like the arts. But despite the older ways, an art community has blossomed.

Local Theatrical Activities
Our community will host a production of The Vagina Monologues--and I'm directing it! I am so excited and nervous. We are auditioning on Monday, and so far we are getting a lot of great support from different groups and agencies.
I am a nearly life-long resident of rural Northern California. I work with youth in my day job and create art in my spare time. I generally create paintings of flowers and musical instruments, though I also create Hawaiiana inspired pieces. I create mostly in acrylics and prisma color pencils. My second home is on the Big Island of Hawaii.
If there are product photos or logos in my blog, chances are I borrowed them from the company's website. Usually, I have linked them to said website, so click away to make up your own mind about stuff I blog about.
If you own a website that I blog about, feel free to link to me--I would be flattered!
